New Romance Ebook Release: Champagne and Lemon Drops (Book 1 Blueberry Springs)

 Posted by Jean Oram , 13 March 2013 · 772 views

All right! Last Friday my chick lit contemporary romance, book 1 of the Blueberry Springs series, Champagne and Lemon Drops went live as an ebook. Since then I have been hunting pirates, hence the delay in announcing the release. However, Amazon’s copyright infringement department did a bang up job of catching the bad guys and my dear readers, you are safe from scams once again!

Can I hear a “Wahoo!”

<a href="http://www.jeanoram.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/ChampagneLemonDrops_20K.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-83" alt="Champagne and Lemon Drops" src="http://www.jeanoram.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/ChampagneLemonDrops_20K.jpg" width="198" height="285" />
New Release! Scroll down to find out how to get your hands on a copy!

Champagne and Lemon Drops Blurb:

One woman. Two men. One meddling small town.

Raised by her older sister in the small town of Blueberry Springs, all Beth Wilkinson wants is to create a family so big she’ll never be alone. Things are going great until her accountant fiancé, Oz, experiences a family trauma, forcing him to rethink everything from his own career to their nuptial plans—leaving Beth alone.

As Beth works to rediscover her former bold and independent self in hopes of reattracting Oz, she catches the eye of the charming new city doctor, Nash. Not only does he see her as she’d like to be seen, but he knows exactly what he wants from life—and that includes Beth.

Torn between the two men, as well as two versions of herself, Beth discovers that love and dreams are much more complicated than they seem.

A chick lit contemporary romance that will appeal to fans of Jennifer Weiner, Jane Green, and Meg Cabot, and will have readers wondering who the hell Beth should choose.

~~~~
A True Story of Having to Choose From the Author
Have you ever had to choose between two men? I sort of did once in university. I had been dating a guy off and on during high school but I kept leaving to do things like travel in Europe, work as a ski instructor in the mountains, and finally, to go away to university. We were great friends. Then in university at the end of my first year I met The One. But we were still just acquaintances (and didn’t know we were THE ONEs yet)–but he was the kind of man you dreamed about all summer long. When I went back that fall, and just before Christmas break, I realized he was, indeed, THE ONE. Over break I saw the ex-boyfriend-back-to-friends-man again. And as I watched him make a shot at the pool table I was struck, a lot like Beth in the story Champagne and Lemon Drops, that this guy was not The One. He was great, we had tons of fun, but we didn’t make each other a better person when we hung out together–not to say we were evil or brought out the worst in each other. We just weren’t better. And so I made my choice. It was obvious and easy, not like the choice Beth, the main character, has to make in Champagne and Lemon Drops.
Me and THE ONE have been married for fourteen years and he still makes my heart go pitty-pat. Plus, he doesn’t want to change me like maybe one of the heroes in the book wants to do with Beth.
I hope you enjoy the first book in the Blueberry Springs series. You can find it in the following places with more to come:
