Audio book deal on the first book in my new series, and I haven't finished writing it yet!
LucidDreamerI can't take credit -- my pub. handles that stuff. But it is nice.

mwsinclairPerhaps you don't take credit for negotiating the deal, but take credit for the book and for instilling confidence in your ability to create a marketable, sellable product.

It's sure quiet around here...what can we do to get things going again? I'll have a query draft soon but what else can we do?
mwsinclairIt's hard to tell who is visiting. I think keeping threads moving will be productive. But we need blood.

I've been in the query trenches for about 11 years. And this query I'm writing now is the toughest I've ever had to write.
FalthoI completely feel your pain mate. Some books are just so rough to try and query, even if the plot and characters are awesome.

DerrickThe toughest part is that it's an unreliable narrator, and the joke is that the reader knows that what the narrator is saying/seeing is not true.

Just sent off my first query for the revised James Rhyder book.

WIP is in the hands of writer's group for next month's meeting. Have new ideas rattling around, time to revamp the query!

Hi Jemi. Thank you for your edits on my query: The Bare Snow. What you said about opening with more action is ironically what I just read about in writing, so your comment was in perfect timing to what I just came to understand. Thanks again!
JemiThat's awesome - love when things click at the right time! Good luck with it!
