If you've visited Folio Lit's website, please run a virus scan on your computer. When I went on their site today, my anti-virus blocked a "Blackhole Exploit Kit" threat. It's a "threat is caused by code that can be hacked into a webpage. When you browse to a webpage with this threat it will exploit vulnerabilities in your internet browser/plugins and force adware, phishing programs or any other type of fraudulent software to be installed on your device."

I sent an email to Folio Lit's office making them aware of the malicious programming, but if you were on their site, I recommend running a full virus scan and a malware scan on your computer ASAP.

I was there yesterday.  My Mac is clean.  The people who intentionally distribute viruses are jerks.  Hopefully the folks at Folio will be able to take care of this soon.

People who intentionally distribute viruses should have to do at least a year in general population with Bubba, and have it made a felony if they get caught using so much as an IPad for five years. mad0118.gif

Folio hasn't replied to my email. They may never see it, if their spam filters caught it.

And I agree that slipping viruses into other people's websites deserves some creative punishments. :humph:

How about forcing them to spend a year reading closing pop-up windows?  I remember the day when opening a seemingly innocent website could set off a barrage of pop-ups, and it was so annoying closing them!  So those who sent out viruses should have to deal with the most annoying internet situation I can think of that doesn't involve porn.

Yikes! Thanks for the heads up MW. I visited the site yesterday, just ran my anti-virus but didn't find anything. Checked its log though, and sure enough it had blocked the threat. Thanks again. :)

I'm totally not; therefore, I write like I am.

No problem! Glad your anti-virus caught it!
