For those on Twitter you would have seen the breaking news about agents Laurie McLean, Gordon Warnock & Pam van Hylckama Vlieg separating from Larsen Pomada and Andrea Hurst respectively to start their own literary agency with more. Their assistants also come across with them. Also, majority of their clients have followed them as well. A news article is here: http://www.prlog.org...-francisco.html

Lol, Krysten. First thing I checked, too. With identical results.

This looks like a great new agency. Can anyone tell me what they want so far as querying goes? I feel like a dork, but I can't find any information on the site. Do the agents have individual email addresses? Do they just want queries, or sample pages, too?

Because they just opened and are still getting organized, they may not want any queries right now. When they're ready for queries, I'm sure they'll add a "submissions" page on their website (I couldn't find one either).

I think if you click on each of their names, it gives each of their requirements and their email addresses. Hope this helps!

I asked them, and yes, they are open to queries and to check their individual pages for submission guidelines. RUN, RUN, MY PRETTIES.

I was confused because some of the people don't have contact info, just things they like to read -- I think they must be assistants. Thanks!

I was checking around to see how exactly I should address a query to one of these agents (Dear Ms. Vlieg? Ms. van Hylckama Vlieg? My Good Woman?), when I saw this article. Holy hazardous jobs! Poor Pam!

@Debroah: When I queried her, I said Ms. van Hycklama Vlieg. That's her full last name.

OMG, that's awful! Poor Pam! I am rethinking social media all over again. Also, that horrible man is giving authors a bad name. Enough people already think we're crazy....

When I queried her, I decided making a mistake was worse so I just put her full name instead. :) She seems pretty easygoing though, so I wouldn't sweat it.

I just was at a conference with Pam, Laurie and Gordon. They are all so nice and this is going to be a POWERHOUSE agency mark my words.

And about Pam's name - she laughed when a moderator tried to pronouce it  (and totally muffed it) during one of the sessions. She said if you misspell it in your query she is NOT offended. She knows it's a hard one :)

Whew! With a name like that, I guess you have to learn to let things slide. My last name isn't even that unusual, and I sometimes get a little irked when people "correct" the spelling to the more common Anglo version. (Okay, yes, an agent did that once in a rejection, and it did bug me a bit just because we writers have to be so diligent about not making that kind of mistake...okay, okay, I'm over it...okay, I *will* be over it when that special agent says the magic words...)
