As I saw someone post that they can field questions about police work, I think it'd be a good idea to start an "ask a professional" forum. There are many of us on here who can help with various jobs that we've done...and that might help someone's story be more accurate. For instance, I work in radio, am studying radio and have experience as a CNA and tele tech. And I know there are many others here who have similar abilities.

Thoughts?

The thread Aightball refers to was one I posted here: http://agentquerycon...cal-consultant/

I think it might have some merit to create a seperate forum that allows professionals to offer their advice / expertise on particular careers, etc.

Sub catagories might allow fields to be grouped together, i.e. law enforcement, military, medical, etc... just a suggestion for consideration.

Cool idea!  You could also have subtopics that focus on regions and cultures.  Like Andrew's post mentioned NYC.  Many people might set stories there because it is a global hub, but they might not know much about the city beyond the basics.  Like would a true New Yorker say pop or soda?! People might also want more information on an Indian tradition, the grammatically correct way to form a particular French phrase, or something else that could give a character more depth.  It would be nice to have questions likes these organized in one place!

Creative fantasy, because it is mainly trying to do something else (make something new), may open your hoard and let all the locked things fly away like cage-birds.

Sounds like a great idea to me! It would be wonderful to have a place to post questions like that!

I think it's a good idea too. Didn't we have something like that on the old forum?
