I realize that this is an older topic, but I'm the Executive Director of an epilepsy agency in Canada; if you (or anyone) needs any assistance with information on epilepsy or seizure disorders, please don't hesitate to contact me.:)
Does anyone here have knowledge of epileptic seizures?

My father-in-law has epilepsy. He suffers from Grand Maul Seizures. My husband helps him a lot when he has his seizures. His come at random, though high stress levels, watching TV in the dark, or being hit in the head can trigger them. I do not know much about his disease, but I know that for 24 hours after a seizure he doesn't remember much of anything. He knows his name, but is very disoriented sometime forgetting the day, time, other people's names, etc. It takes him a few days to get back to normal. He has permanent brain damage from the number of seizures he has had over the years though.
