Antic, are you on Spring Break, or just staying up til one in the morning on a school night because you're naughty?

I vote "aye" for a Twitter session.

How would people feel about a Twitter-centric chat next week? It seemed like a lot of AQ'ers in last night's chat were very interested but Twitterphobic. Perhaps we could have some Twitterific people (like Ctay or Lit?) be around (I plan on being there too) and we could walk people through setting up their Twitter accounts in real time?

Would there be an interest in that?

I think this is a great idea. I'd be happy to join in on the chat if so.

Haha, YOU GUYZZZ. I'm getting A's in everything, don't you fret.

Though I wish this week were spring break. This week it's 75 and sunny and beautiful every day. Last week? LAST WEEK IT SNOWED. YEAH.

I'm in for a Twitter-focused chat :)

Anticipa - if you retweet Janet Reid, she will see it. Anything anyone tweets with @_____ sign is pushed to that user account. When you retweet, the @janetreid is included. Also, if you retweet or follow her, she might visit your blog, so be sure to clean house! She commented on my blog the day I followed her - I nearly fell off my chair!

OH MY GOD WHAT DO I DO. My last blog post was filled with insanity. ACK WHAAAT.

Janet Reid is totally my Big Scary Agent Crush. Did you guys see the mock query she did for the Bible? Amazing.

Somehow that does not surprise me. Your insight and help with queries is fantastic, so the A's are great, but you do need your sleep! As do I, good night.

Count me in for a twitter chat. And now I'm thinking that maybe a twitter post for From the Write Angle, might not be a bad thing. Just so all the info is there where we can reference it easily.

As for retweeting or original posts, it's all good as long as you think the info you're posting/RT'ing would be of interest to your followers (or might get you new followers). Not to say you shouldn't tweet the occassional personal tidbit about you or your wriging, since it allows people to get to know you and helps them relate. I also comment on other followers personal tidbits from time to time. Have made some great friends via twitter-- even hooked up at a local convention and got to meet in person. : )

And definitely tweet the occasional #amwriting tweet. Give them a tease of what you're writing about. I found I got a ton of followers doing that, and a lot of interest in what I was writing.

  • Publishing Experience:My debut novel, "The Sister Queens," (March 2012/NAL), was set in 13th century France and England and wove the captivating story of sisters, Marguerite and Eleanor of Provence, who both became queens. My next solo novel, "Medicis Daughter," (Dec 1 2015/Thomas Dunne) traveled forward three-hundred years to the intrigue-riven French Valois court, spinning the tale of beautiful princess Marguerite who walks the knife edge between the demands of her serpentine mother, Catherine de Medicis, and those of her own conscience.

In between I became a "hybrid" as part of a group of six authors involved in a high concept novel-in-six-parts called "A Day of Fire" which released in November of 2014. The book, "A Day of Fire," tells the story of the final days of the doomed city of Pompeii in a way you've never read it before.

Excellent sounds like there's a definite interest in the Twittercentric chat. I'll post in the the appropriate places.

I think another Twitter chat is definitely in order! We can even do a simultaneous - those who are already more comfy with it can do an actual TwitterChat with one of the Twitter experienced folks (I'm thinking MK, if she'll agree, so that I can keep Mods with ability to start private chats here w/ me to help out) and we can get a new batch started up.

Also, we'll find out if we can increase chat room capacity before we schedule another TweetChat - but that's a great tie in Idea!

The post I'm doing will cover alot of the basics, so I say, lets send them over to read that BEFORE the chat so that we can then deal with issues that go beyond just opening an account and knowing what hashtags and mentions are. Maybe even do a twitter 101 write up here on AQ.
