We're psyched to host a day-long Q&A session with YA/Middle Grade's literary agent, Mary Kole!

Ms. Kole is currently an agent with Andrea Brown Literary Agency, which consistently is ranked #1 in juvenile sales on PublishersMarketplace.com. Ms. Kole currently runs the East Coast office of the agency, and she is actively seeking YA and MG projects with fresh, unique voices and idiosyncratic characters as well as projects from author/illustrators. However, during our Q&A session, Ms. Kole welcomes questions from all writers regarding the world of literary agents and the query and submission process.

In addition, Ms. Kole recently attended the Digital Book World 2011 in New York City and is actively engaged in tracking the new developments in the digital publishing landscape. In addition to her agent blog, kidlit.com, she recently stared a new digital publishing blog, kidlitapps.com that focuses on children's book apps as well as digital books and literary app development.

The dedicated Q&A group will be open for questions from the AQ community beginning Friday, April 1 through Monday, April 11, and Ms. Kole will be posting her replies on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.
AQ Connect members will have the opportunity to ask in-depth questions about the process of finding a literary agent as well as issues pertaining to the future of traditional publishing in the digital age, like "Is it becoming harder and harder for new writers to garner literary representation? or "Is the agency business model destined to change as more published authors and aspiring writers turn towards e-publishing?", or "Will literary agents represent a book that's simultaneously being sold as an eBook on the various popular e-pubbing websites?"

Be sure to check out Ms. Kole's agent profile on her agency website. And of course, don't miss out on this fantastic Q&A session.

Please Note: General Guidelines for Posting Questions:

* This group is currently opened for posting your questions, beginning Friday, April 1st through April 11. You must be a registered AQ Connect Member in order to post a question.
* Ms. Kole will arrive Tuesday, April 12th and begin posting replies at that time.
* In the meantime, AQC members are free to chat and post replies on various posted questions, but please keep in mind that the final reply should come from Ms. Kole.
* There is a no limit to the number of questions each AQC member may post. That said, don't be "that" guy who hogs the Q&A session.
* Please refrain from posting your hook or query letter for specific critique feedback. These posts will be removed.
* Ms. Kole exclusively represents Young Adult (YA) and Middle Grade (MG) projects, but she is open to questions from all writers working in all genres as well as all questions about submitting to a literary agent and the business side of publishing.
