For the third year long time AQCers Michelle Hauck and I are hosting the Sun vs. Snow writing contest. To participate you need to submit your query and first 250 words during the submission window that opens on February 1 at 4pm EST. We are open to MG, YA, NA, and ADULT in all genres except for Adult erotica.

We are only taking 200 entries so you need to enter quickly. We had to close the sub window after seven minutes last year.

For more details on how to enter go here: https://chasingthecr...s-snow-details/

Okay if you have a full MS out on request during the contest? Is there a process for withdrawing come an offer?

Yes. If your ms gets selected, and then you get an offer, you can pull out.

This is also a good reminder though that we have a new rule this year about submissions. If your manuscript has been in the agent round of a contest in the last five months, then it cannot be entered. We want to showcase new material this year and agents have made it clear that they are tired of seeing the same work in every contest. Thanks for understanding!
