When pasting in an email

I've been pasting everything in single-spaced, but with breaks/space between paragraphs.
I think that's right?
Anyone else (more knowledgeable)?

If it's in the body of the email I single space with a break between the paragraphs. I sent a few drafts to myself and found that double-spacing tends to get messed up when it's sent.
I save the text of the email as plain text file (.txt), then copy and paste into the body of the email, then change the font and size. That seems to be the only way (on my computer) to make sure weird formatting issues don't creep in.

OK thank you folks. I also noticed - sending emails to myself - that double-spacing looks weird. I will try your trick of saving the text as a txt file - hadn't thought of doing that.
What about dialogue? is that single-spaced as well?

Also, if an agent asks for 25 pages.....do you send the first 25 pages of your 12-pt Times New Roman font MS that is double spaced...and then single space it in the body of the email? Or is it 25 pages of single-spaced lines with breaks for paragraphs?
Maybe someone who has done this a lot can chime in?

Do you also double space between paragraphs in the sample chapters, or just the query and synopsis?
