should I post my stories on wattpad? I've done a few things with wattpad in the past but now that I actually want to get serious with writing should I post chapters on there? I'm not sure what to do maybe just leave it alone, I don't know.

Depends on if you wish to sell the books in the future... if you wish to get money for them in the future, probably not. Very few people ever get book deals off of wattpad. If you have no plans or have run out of people to send your book to even after editing it, then you could consider it.

I'm not sure really, I've only just begun thinking about publishing my book. I guess I have to think about it before really doing anything. thank you for the advice though.

I think you can solve it somewhat by asking what you want for the book and your career as well as what social issues you care about with your book. Who do you want to write it for? And do you want money for it, etc.

I found Wattpad to be extremely useful for getting some much needed feedback over my first few draft chapters. It was also great for inspiring me to write, as I was getting a lot of comments and votes on my chapters.

The problem, however, is finding people that are on the same writing level as you. As anyone can submit to Wattpad, quite often a lot of the stories are unedited and in some cases, completely unreadable.

I'd say it doesn't hurt to try! Give it a go if you're curious!

Budding writer of historical YA fiction...
