How does "The Isle of Silver Scales" sound?

It's as good or better than the titles of YA fiction I was reading as a YA.  Nice job!

Asked my students (16-17 years old), and heard pretty positive feedback from both boys and girls. They liked the suggestion to take out the The.

Sounds good. For some reason, found myself picturing dragons and waterfalls the second i read it.

Would really appreciate a little feedback on my first 250 words: http://agentquerycon...ya-sci-fantasy/

I like "The Isle of Silver Scales" a lot - and I agree; I can see the dragons and waterfalls on the cover!  It also sets up a nice naming precedent for future books, should you choose to write a sequel.

Choosing whether or not to use "The" should be based on the content. Is this a unique, legendary, mythical kind of place? Then use "The."  Is it a more commonplace setting in a mythical world? Just start with "Isle."
