Hi! As I mentioned in my intro post, I'm writing my book with my writing partner. While I can find resources for people publishing on their own, it's harder to find things regarding publishing as a team. We also live in different countries (the US and Canada), which only adds to the complications. I'm unsure if publishing companies will take non-residents, and if writing as a team will require additional hoops to jump through. Can anyone point me in a good direction for more information?

Thanks!

Since establishing the company in 2012, we have published ten books, including short stories by several AQC writers and debut novels by AQC authors A.T. O'Connor (aka Cat Woods), "ScubaSteve" Carman, and R.S. Mellette. Heading into 2016, we're aiming to publish at least two books, including the second Mellette novel and an anthology. In 2015, I saw a few memoir/nonfiction pieces published in Red Fez. I expect to do more of that in 2016 and beyond, while also looking to add freelance editing and writing clients.

you might want to pay attention to the team of Pete Morin and Susanne O'Leary. Pete used to be a moderator here, and Susanne's a prolific writer based in Ireland and runs a small online writers' group herself. I think Pete blogged about some of their challenges years ago, and you'll probably be able to find that referenced on his blog.

I believe they self-published, so it might not be analogous to your effort, but you might be able to glean some knowledge for their experience, nonetheless.

Ohh, I've looked them up, and I think that even if they went the self-publishing route, you're right, there may be stuff here that will give us some valuable insight. Thanks so much!
