Here is my hook for my book Wall Of Ice.

The Prince of Pluto takes on the King of Jupiter.

I have a question: In the query letter, where do you put the hook?

It sometimes goes in the first sentence after: Dear Agent, but it can go wherever your query necessitates.

Also, I'd read through some of the other hooks to see what your query is missing.

As it stands, it's missing the main character, what the MC wants, and what he/she is going to do to get it.

The hook is normally the first sentence of the query, and is normally a more descriptive sentence than what you have. Definitely read some examples to see what makes a good hook.

Synopsis: Glass Domes
