Hi All,

My synopsis is 750 words. (One page in single spaced TimesNR 12-font)

Is that an absolute NO-NO...? Must it go down to 500 words?

(MS is 85,000 word - adult genre)

Chloe :-)

Please critique my query, and I will return the favour!

For most, if not all agents, 750 is perfectly fine. However, I ran into an odd agency who were using an online form which only allowed for 500 words, so beware of the weird oddity when it comes to submitting via form.

That's fine, but just be aware that different agents and agencies require different lengths for the synopsis, so you may need to either cut it down or beef it up, depending on the submission requirements. For a base to start from, this would be good, though.
