Ivaldi,
or a Fascinating Story of Heroes and Traitors

Synopsis of the novel

Nine worlds. Nine nations. One war. A war of defeated heroes. A war of defeated traitors. No one is guilty, and no one is right. Chaos is the only winner.

‘Ivaldi’ is an epic fantasy novel. It is based on Scandinavian mythology and tells about eternal universal values - friendship, patriotism and love.

The novel’s main character, Ivaldi, is the ruler of the dwarfs. The neighbors of his country oppose the rule of the Asgard gods as people don’t wish to obey the gods any more.

The rulers of the four worlds make an Alliance against the gods and declare war on them.

The war makes the proud and ambitious Ivaldi experience an ethical dilemma. He will have to decide whether to raise the sword to his brothers fighting on the side of the gods, or listen to the call of blood and spare them.

Ivaldi,
or a Fascinating (Is this part of the title? Because calling your own story "fascinating" is iffy) Story of Heroes and Traitors

Synopsis of the novel

Nine worlds. Nine nations. One war. A war of defeated heroes. A war of defeated traitors. No one is guilty, and no one is right. Chaos is the only winner.

‘Ivaldi’ (Book titles are italicized, not put in single quotes) is an epic fantasy novel. It is based on Scandinavian mythology and tells about eternal universal values - friendship, patriotism and love. (Show, don't tell) The novel’s main character, Ivaldi (In a synopsis, you put character names in all-caps when you use them for the first time), is the ruler of the dwarfs.

To speak plainly, this isn't a synopsis. When an agent asks for a synopsis, they are looking for a more complete description of your full plot arc. Shoot for something closer to 700 words, and keep the focus on plot rather than themes.

Yes, this is much too short. Shoot for 1 page, single-spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman, 1-inch margins. This will come to 700-800 words.
