I want to query an agency that asks for no attachments. They want a two paragraph synopsis and the first 15 pages in the body of the email. The trouble is they said 15 pages, 1.5 spaced, 0.5 first line indent, Times New Roman 12 point font. These are all things that are very easy to do on a word processor. Gmail won't do it. What do I do?

The spacing is mostly for word count. I've never heard of 1.5 spacing though. Interesting.

As long as the email formatting is readable, you should be fine.

I do my query, synopsis and sample pages in Word with the required formatting, then copy and paste it into an email. All the formatting transfers over.

That's weird that they are so specific, the only thing I've ever seen requested is double spaced. But yes, as Hula Girl suggested just use that formatting in Word and then copy paste. Gmail should maintain the formatting. The font might look a bit small. My experience is 12pt looks small in Gmail, so I usually use 13pt before I copy-paste.

I did copy it into Gmail and the formatting didn't stick at all. I wonder if different browsers react differently or something? But if you guys have been having success with it, I'll keep trying different combinations of devices, word processors, and browsers until it works. Thanks.
