Hi.  I am trying to add my revised query but I am not seeing the edit button.  I hate to sound stupid, but where does one find it?

At the very bottom right corner of your post, next to the Quote and Multi-quote buttons. It's hard to see at first, but it'll show up darker when you move your cursor over the other buttons. Same with the Report button.

My header isn't bold like everyone else's.  Can someone please explain how I might change that?

Not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the title of a thread you've made? Titles are only in bold when the thread is "unread", i.e. you haven't looked at it, or someone new has posted since you last looked. Since creating a thread means you've looked at it by default, your thread title won't be bold unless someone new posts in it.

It's because you changed an existing posts in the topic. You have to add a new revision for it to bump you up.

I'm having trouble with this as well. I have tried both replying to the topic and editing the original post to paste in the new revision. I can't see how to "add a new revision".

Thoughts?

If I post a query for critique, is it possible to delete that post in the future, or does it live here forever?

I'm having trouble posting in general. I've posted 10 replies in the past week but after appearing in the string they disappear. What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

I apologize but I started a new thread for my second query letter and was told by other members that this was a mistake. Could you please help me fix it and merge the two threads?

Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi AQ team,

I've posted my query but cannot for the life of me see why my title is not 'bolded' like the others and why I have a greyed out star rather than a dark dot next to the listing of The PURPLE WARS. What did I do wrong?

Thank you!

A non-bolded title just means that you've read the thread as far as the latest update, or that you've marked it as read. Threads you create will always show up this way at first, since you read them simply by virtue of making them. When others make posts in the thread that you haven't read yet, the title will show up in bold. ^^

How do you change the title of your thread? I notice everyone else has the actual title of their book with revisions added or something and id like to do that.

I'd appreciate if you'd take a look at my query here, DARKEST DAYS

On the first post of your query, click edit, then there should be another button that will show up that says use full editor, this will then bring you to a place where you can alter the title of the post.

Good evening,
Should have read the rules, but was so excited finding this forum, that I have started three different threads for the same topic. If possible, could the three be molded into one?
Sorry for the trouble,
Dogday

I am seeing many people posting their revisions as a new thread and I am afraid this is going to be a trend. Any ideas how to let everyone know to post their revisions in the same thread?

I try to tell people in the new post, but then others go ahead and critique it and the problem continues.

Hi,

I'm trying to locate a previous thread where I posted my query letter some months ago. I cannot find a link in my notifications or under topics in my profile. Can I start a new one?

Please share some thoughts on my query letter - Query Letter

I have tried replying to my post and editing my original post, but how do I " add a new revision"? I'm completely confused.

Copy-paste your revision from wherever you're typing it up into a new reply to the thread.

Ok. This is whats going on. I've noticed that posts that were started before mine have made it back up to the top of the forum. How does that happen? I've responded to my thread, edited my original post, and everything; but my post is still on page three. Is there some trick to get it kicked back up, or is it a "number of replies" thing? Not trying to be a brat or anything, I just want to make the most of this site. Thanks.
