Good job, that query is awesome.
And you wrote it without listing any writing experience. The letter stands on its own. Congratulations. Now the hard part starts--to get it into print.

  • Publishing Experience:Published in a poetry book displaying the work of young authors in Kentucky. I also had two articles published in my high school yearbook, but does that really count?

You had me at numbers -- I love math. I can't wait until this hits bookshelves.

  • Publishing Experience:I've had a few awards for essays here and there, and I've been recognized for a few newspaper articles and had a poem published in a local literary magazine. Hoping to lengthen this list....

Wow, congrats! May I ask how many agencies you had to send it out to before getting an offer?

Thanks! I had queried nine agencies when I got my offer. Everyone else: Thanks so much for all of your support! If you want to know more about me or my project, you can check out my blog at astoryofadreamer.blogspot.com. I'm also on Twitter at @encoreunreveur :)

Congrats on the query Amy but correct me if I'm wrong, I understand as of now WILDFLOWER is -to quote you- "trunked" according to your blog. Please enlighten us.

Jay.
