BBC is slightly internetless, so I figured I'd get this post up for the month.

My goals for April:
  • Finish the first draft of Stitching Snow (either this week or early next).
  • Critique BBC's fancily revised ms.
  • Do an editing run on my NaNo ms based on recent feedback.

That's all very doable, so maybe I'll think of something a little more ambitious to add.

What's everyone else hoping to get done this month?

OH! Thought of one.

Survive BBC's visit at the end of the month.

Hey cool! You guys are going to have a real-life mind-meld. Pajama parties and sleepovers. Awww.

For April I plan to:

+ FINALLY get the new fancy-shmancy www.itsallkidsplay.ca completed and posted. (Sooo close to done.)

+ Return to my ms.

+ Maybe get some other It's All Kid's Play plans off the ground. Like return to the blog or start a newsletter. Or something.

I love connecting with and helping other AQCers outside this forum as well. You can find me all over the place!

Hmm. I think I really just want to finish this stupid synopsis for MONSTROUS! >.< And do another editing pass on it after the latest round of betas.

Also need to make up my mind as to which of 3 possible WIPs I should start next. Fun times! :)

Edit my Novella (currently titled Not Past Redemption) and publish it on Amazon.

Write 40k on my WIP (ZJ04 - testing the feel of Lost in Shadow for the title).

Come up with a good marketing strategy, including looking into blog tours, book trailers, and whatever else comes to mind. That might entail editing Pirates of I'ab and maybe publishing it with KDP Select.

April's ToDo List:

1. Start/finish working draft of book 3.
2. Finish rough draft of side WIP1.
3. Finish outline of side WIP2. (can do that now that Sithboy has a new powercord for his laptop and doesn't have to keep borrowing mine.)

Robin, when you're ready to do a blog tour email me and we'll set something up.

  • Publishing Experience:I've had some poetry published in various poetry books, newspapers, and some online things-I don't remember the specifics though. No novel published, yet. Oh yeah-I have had some articles published in various newspapers as well, but-like the poetry- it's been a while...

Posted 02 April 2012 - 05:59 PM

April Goals:
  • Finish revisions on MS
  • Think of some other possible titles for MS (currently titled Created With Love)
  • Finish first draft of (currently untitled) WIP
  • Get through the April A to Z Challenge (post every letter on time and visit lots(preferably all) the blogs that are signed up)
I've been not so good with the monthly goals, but fingers crossed that I will do better this month.

Just one goal for April: Finish revisions on MS, so I can send it out to a critique partner in May.
