Here is Cupid's big May contest she has been talking about. It's based on NBCs 'The Voice'. It sounds like total fun and I'm so going to enter! Sadly, you ARE going to need a blog in order to participate...

http://cupidslitconn...ntest-info.html

So...um...who wants to help me polish up my query?

I'll trade you. You take my query and I'll take your first 250. (I likes my first 250, so I'm good). Just email it to me.

I'm pretty sure you can delete the blog afterwards. I think they did it to make the entries public and easier for them to 'coach' their teams.

I should add this:

Anyone who DIDN'T make it in for this time window, you still have another chance.

The second window is tonight, May 3rd, at 9pmEDT/6pmPDT

So, don't despair! Everyone has a second chance!

Best of luck to all!

Sheesh, Amanda, I had to wake up early, get ready, get to work by 6:45 so I'd have time to get my laptop out and everything ready, get in (yay, #3!) ... then prep for a day of teaching teenagers.

Nah, I love my students. Right now, they finished their work, so two of them invented a new sport: Bounce the racquetball and catch it in the racquetball canister. This isn't easy, since the canister is only barely big enough to fit the ball through its opening.

It's actually really amusing to watch.

But only because my class is a whopping five kids.

Well, there's your problem. You are missing 30 more kids!

Wait, my Spanish 12 had only five students by the end of it. We almost didn't have enough to make a class. O.o I was the youngest one in the class, because I took it a year early.

BACK TO THE CONTEST.

Anyone trying for the second window?

It's a school for the deaf in a sparsely populated state. There are only 50-odd kids in the whole high school. There are actually six in the class I was talking about earlier, but one is absent today. It's tied for my biggest class.

Anyway...

I imagine SC is trying for the second window since he had some kind of technical difficulties with it this morning. And I know Tansy is going to try for it, too.

Ah, yes, I heard about SC's troubles. Hopefully he will be able to get in this time!

I also think AnyaHarker is trying for the second window. She had issues with her smartphone for the first one.

Though, if they don't get in, we can hire them as cheerleaders! I call SC! LULZ.

MY STUPID COMPUTER DIDN'T SHOW IT! Literally, I was there, refreshed, it came up, but the widget had the same message it has right now. I was almost ready to scream as I saw the comments pouring in, and I'm like IT'S NOT WORKING FOR ME!! It was so frustrating to see it all happen and not be able to do anything :(

WELL, I'm going to go on a different computer (2, maybe 3 of them) and see which one works, and sign up. I reallllly want to get in. So bad :( But I'll cheerlead for you Caraka if I don't get in :)

#22! WOOT

SC - I'm sending good tech vibes your way for the next 1/2 hour, plus they upped the second window to accept 100 more, not just 75, so your odds just got better! GOOD LUCK :)
