As some of you know, I write for a very large audience--with vastly different voices and subject matter between my kid lit and my YA writing. Because of this, I've started a blog for readers of YA (and newbie adults) under a pen name. Alexandra Tys* O'Connor. So if you've seen this creepy presence friending or following or stalking you in any way, it's just me.

Also, as some of you know, creating an online presence from scratch can be difficult. Because of this, I invite anyone interested in YA lit (or me as a writer  ) to check out my second self! You're the first peeps I've come out to, though I'm not sure that makes you blessed or punished...

Blog Name: Whispering Minds
Post Frequency: 2-3x/week
Intended Audience: Readers of YA Lit (I'm actually trying to target my market of teens, parents, teachers and librarians)
Topic Summary: Psychology and human behavior. My tagline: A peek inside teen life, literature and love where anything is possible and not everything is as it seems.

  • Publishing Experience:I was first published at age 7 in a young authors' compilation. I never stopped writing. The bulk of my work is sff, but I also write poetry and screenplays. My work has appeared on writersmonthly.com, Broken Mirrors, and the upcoming anthology Once Upon an Apocalypse. I also sold a novella and a poetry collection, but neither of those saw the light of day (one publisher closed, the other closed their poetry line)

I'm new here. I've been lurking and subscribed to emails from AQC but haven't gotten very far into the community. But I think I may be addicted. I actually came here today as I was in the process of moving my blog from lj to wordpress and wanted to find blogs to add to my reader.

I just added a ton of your blogs and look forward to reading/meeting everyone.

It's a work in progress. I just basically started and my thought was to generate stories based on my writing endeavors and then add in some short stories regarding the characters. Like everything else, there never seems to be enough time in the day to do all things, but I'm keeping a positive outlook.

Hey guys! I started my first blog post yesterday, and ended up writing three!  My goal is to practice saying as much as possible in as few words as possible.  So, all blog posts are 140 words or fewer.  Eventually I'd like to do a weekly micro fantasy/sci-fi prompt for readers. (Micro Mondays?) Given a really mundane topic, writers can create a fantasy/sci-fi story around it.  I just want to get a few readers first.

Blog Name: Paracosms, Please
Post Frequency: I hope to average 1-3 posts a week.  Maybe more...
Intended Audience: Anyone interested in fantasy, science fiction, and micro-writing.
Topic summary: I don't want to talk about just reading and writing because I think that'll burn me out.  Instead, I want to discuss a wide range of topics that are in some way about looking at the world in new ways.  I plan to start a micro-fiction game with that idea in mind.

Creative fantasy, because it is mainly trying to do something else (make something new), may open your hoard and let all the locked things fly away like cage-birds.

-Tolkien

@ODearMoriah for Twitter stories.  A healthy dose of fiction.

Paracosms, Please for creative content under 140 words.

Hi guys. I started my blog in 2006. Reading all of this stuff and seeing the importance of blogging I'm dusting it off and blogging again. I didn't blog at all in 2015 but I just made another post now in February 2016.
