Jonathan Lyons will join Folio Literary Management as executive director of subsidiary rights, and will also serve as the agency’s legal counsel on select issues, including contract, copyright, and estate law. He has been running his own agency and law practice. Molly Jaffa has been promoted to director of international rights, and will continue to develop her client list.

From today's Publisher's Lunch email.

The real news in this snippet is that Molly Jaffa is developing her list. That means she is actively seeking people to sign. (hint, hint.)

Feel free to include info on Molly here such as her genre interests, etc.

I love connecting with and helping other AQCers outside this forum as well. You can find me all over the place!

Hey, if you feel your query is ready to send, and that Molly sounds like a good match - send away I say!

That's the problem, I don't know if she's a good match, because I don't know if she like fantasy. Otherwise, I would have already sent in.

After reading her profile, it sounds as though fantasy is one of the genres she's looking for. She's just not into paranormal 'creature' elements (werewolves, sirens, mermaids, faries etc). So if your story is free of those things, then I say go for it!

Oh, not a vampire, werewolf, mermaid, whatever in sight. ONLY DRAGONS. On another world. I hope that counts as Fantasy and not Paranromal

The worry, at least for me, is finding someone you think is an amazing match... and then blowing your chance because it wasn't completely perfect! *gulp!!!*

Dragons are definitely in the fantasy genre. In fact, having your story on another world basically makes your genre fantasy, with or without dragons (unless of course your 'other world' had aliens and ultra tech elements - which would then make it Sci-fi).

I know exactly what you mean! I guess that's why you do your best to make sure everything is top notch first, before sending it out. I learned that the hard way. *sigh*
